現任台灣公共電視國際部經理與紀錄片平台召集人、台灣宏觀電視總監、台灣大學新聞研究所實務教師。林樂群畢業於美國密蘇里大學新聞研究所碩士班，曾任紐約世界日報記者、香港亞洲周刊編輯、台灣公視籌委會記者、超級電視台「調查報告」製作人、 民視新聞部採訪中心副主任、製作中心主任、節目中心主任、「民視異言堂」創始製作人、宏網集團元碁資訊媒體總監、公共電視新聞部經理。
LIN Leh-chyun is the Director of International Department and Chief of Documentary Platform of Public Television Service of Taiwan. Mr. Lin received his master’s degree from University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Journalism. He began his career as a print journalist in New York and Hong Kong. For the past 20 years, he has worked as a producer, program director, production director, news director and content director for the commercial and public television. On top of these, he also worked in Taiwan’s Internet industry. Mr. Lin is also an Adjunct Professional Expert of the Graduate Institute of Journalism, National Taiwan University.

With the passage of the Public Television Act by the Legislative Yuan, Taiwan Public Television Service Foundation (PTS Foundation) was established as a non-profit foundation to operate the Public Television Service (PTS), which started broadcast on July 1, 1998. The chief objective of PTS is to establish a public service mass media system and to balance out for the inadequacy of commercial television.
