Graduated from Communication University of China in 1991, ZHAO Qing started working at the Overseas Programs Center of Documentary Channel under the Shanghai Media Group. From 1991 to 2003, she worked as a TV host and director on column programmes such as \u201cShanghai Bund\u201d and \u201cDocumentary Editing Room\u201d.<\/p>\n

ZHAO produced and directed several documentaries, including LITTLE TOWN, ZHOU ZHUANG, WOMEN\u2019S MINDS and GRADUATION SONGS. LOOK LOVE, a feature-length documentary, looks at a new generation of Chinese children who are growing up without parental love and family values. With rising migration in a rapidly changing China as backdrop, children are entering their formative years without parental love or family values. We follow two children from hugely different backgrounds: Xin Yuan from the cosmopolitan Beijing and fifteen thousand miles away and LIN Sheng from the mountains of Guizhou and Hunan Provinces, as they navigate love, lost, anger, despair, loyalty, betrayal and learn how to reconcile as the \u201cleft-behind\u201dchildren.<\/p>\n

Graduate work \u201cLook Love\u201d won the first prize in Central Academy of Fine Arts 2009 graduate work competition\uff0cwhich is the Predecessor of the documentary film LOOK LOVE. It was an imaging device with double screen and it recorded the life of two groups of children that are similar but not exactly the same. This documentary filmLOOKLOVE bases on the same two group of children. From this two works we can see the change and the growth of these children.<\/p>\n
