After I had finished my studied at universities in Germany, Iceland, Denmark and Finland in the mid-eighties I began to work for German public broadcaster, ZDF, based in Mainz. I started out as a freelancer in the entertainment. In my first year, I changed from being a fully employed commissioning editor to the classical music and theatre dept. In 1990, I became deputy head of Zentralredaktion Kultur, the programming unit of ZDF\u2019s culture and science dept. One and a half years later, when the German-French Culture Channel ARTE came into life, I became senior commissioning editor for the documentaries; ZDF produces for ARTE. Since those years, I have been involved in an increasing number of international co-productions, mainly of European origin. Lately some my department has found and supported some Spanish and Italian projects. In January 2005 I moved to ARTE Headquarters Strasbourg where I continued to work for theme nights as head of the THEMA Unit. I supervise the whole THEMA programming; the daily slots Chic (lifestyle magazine) and Far away places. Besides that, I am one of the founding members of the European Broadcasting Union\u2019s Documentary Group; I have also been the chairman six years, from 2000 till 2006; from 2006 till 2008 I was the vice-chairman.<\/p>\n

In January 2010, I started as head of the newly founded Arte dept. Development and events, which I am in charge of the Themed programs.<\/p>\n

ARTE G.E.I.E.\u6b50\u6d32\u96fb\u8996\u5354\u6703<\/p>\n

\u4e8c\u5341\u5e74\u4e86\uff01\u5fb7\u6cd5\u5169\u570b\u57281990\u5e7410\u67082\u65e5\u7c3d\u4e0b\u524d\u77bb\u6027\u7684\u8de8\u570b\u5354\u8b70\uff0c\u5960\u4e0b\u6b50\u6d32\u6587\u5316\u96fb\u8996\u53f0\u7684\u57fa\u790e\u3002<\/p>\n

\u5728\u9019\u5168\u7403\u5316\u7684\u6642\u4ee3\u88e1\uff0cARTE\u4e5f\u662f\u901a\u5f80\u4e0d\u540c\u6587\u5316\u3001\u793e\u6703\u7d50\u69cb\u53ca\u4e16\u754c\u89c0\u9ede\u7684\u9014\u5f91\u3002<\/p>\n

\u8996\u807d\u7522\u696d\u81eaARTE\u6210\u7acb\u4ee5\u4f86\u5df2\u6709\u91cd\u5927\u8f49\u8b8a\uff0c\u7db2\u8def\u9a5a\u4eba\u5730\u6210\u529f\uff0c\u9769\u547d\u6027\u5730\u6539\u8b8a\u4e86\u95b1\u807d\u4eba\u7684\u7fd2\u6163\uff0c\u5c24\u5176\u662f\u5e74\u8f15\u7684\u95b1\u807d\u4eba\u3002\u70ba\u6b64\uff0cARTE\u81ea\u59cb\u8996\u7db2\u8def\u53ca\u65b0\u5a92\u9ad4\u70ba\u5176\u6838\u5fc3\u7b56\u7565\u3002\u4ea6\u51fa\u73fe\u7a81\u7834\u6027\u7684\u9818\u57df\uff0c\u50cf\u662fARTE+7\u96a8\u9078\u64ad\u653e\u670d\u52d9\u3002\u63a5\u4e0b\u4f86\u7684\u5e7e\u500b\u6708\uff0c\u4e00\u500b\u5145\u6eff\u5275\u610f\u7684\u5e73\u53f0\u5c07\u9023\u7d50\u6b50\u6d32\u7684\u96fb\u5f71\u5b78\u6821\uff0c\u8207Youtube\u548cFacebook\u5408\u4f5c\u3002<\/p>\n

\u4f46\u5373\u4f7f\u662f\u9019\u500b\u5feb\u901f\u6f14\u9032\u7684\u6578\u4f4d\u6642\u4ee3\uff0c\u50b3\u7d71\u96fb\u8996\u983b\u9053\u7684\u5275\u65b0\u4ea6\u6709\u5176\u672c\u8cea\u4e0a\u7684\u50f9\u503c\uff0c\u9019\u4e5f\u662f\u70ba\u4f55ARTE\u7387\u5148\u5c0e\u5165\u9ad8\u756b\u8cea\u96fb\u8996\uff08HDTV\uff09\uff0c\u4e26\u4e14\u9010\u6b65\u9081\u5411\u5168\u9762\u8f49\u63db\u70ba\u9ad8\u756b\u8cea\u8f49\u64ad\u3002<\/p>\n

It\u2019s already been twenty years! France and Germany showed great foresight on October 2nd<\/sup>, 1990 by signing a trans-national agreement and laying the foundation for a European cultural TV channel.<\/p>\n

In this global age, ARTE is also a gateway to different cultures, social systems, and worldviews.<\/p>\n

The audiovisual landscape has changed significantly since ARTE was founded. The amazing success of the Internet has revolutionised viewers\u2019 habits, especially among the young. For this reason, ARTE has placed the Internet and new media development at the heart of its strategies from the beginning. New ground was broken, for example, with the ARTE+7 Television on demand service. In the coming months, a creative platform will be launched in conjunction with European film schools. Partnerships with YouTube and Facebook are also in the pipeline.<\/p>\n

But even in this rapidly evolving digital age, innovations in conventional television retain their intrinsic value. This is why ARTE has embraced HDTV from its inception and is currently in the process of completely converting its broadcasting operations to HDTV.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
