is now nineteen years since LIC commenced buying documentaries internationally for broadcast Television in China. Who would have thought that a small company of three people, would blossom in fourteen years to be one of the largest privately owned media companies in the country operating through eight wholly owned companies.<\/p>\n<p>Such success does not come easily, but often derives from a variety of factors. The opening up of the Chinese media industry, and the energy and imagination shown by the first LIC staff members were the two driving forces behind the early success of LIC.
