May-yi Lee is Director of Factual Content Production for National Geographic Channels Int\u2019l., based inTaiwan.\u00a0 With over 14 years of experience in the television and film industry, May-yi is currently responsible for supervision of all local commissions, co-productions and development of new productions out of Taiwan and China.<\/p>\n

May-yi originally joined National Geographic Television & Film in 1998, where she worked in production operations.\u00a0 A year later, she joined National Geographic Television and Film\u2019s Natural History Unit, where she was involved in the pre-production, production, and post-production of over 10 wildlife films.\u00a0 She later moved on to join the National Geographic Channel\u2019s Third Party Programming group and worked as an associate producer on the \u201cSnake Wranglers\u201d and \u201cTaboo\u201d series.\u00a0 May-yi developed, produced, and post produced shows in the U.S., Australia, Africa, and Asia, i.e. Taiwan, Mainland China, Korea, and Malaysia.<\/p>\n

May-yi received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication as well as Asian Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (May 1998), and her Master of Arts degree in Producing for Film & Video from American University (May 2002).<\/p>\n
